A tribute to Paris, the City of Lights, and the composers who lived there and traveled there from America in the early part of the 20th century.

AmiciMusic, the award-winning professional chamber music organization based in Asheville, presents a tribute to those who lost their lives in the recent terrorist attack. Steve Loew, clarinet, and Daniel Weiser, piano will be the featured artists in this program which will include music by Gershwin, Ravel, Poulenc, Milhaud, Cole Porter, and more.

Mr. Loew is a former member of the U.S. Marine Band who has performed for five presidents and also played with the New York Philharmonic and National Symphony.

Mr. Weiser, the founder and Artistic Director of AmiciMusic, has played concerts in fifteen different countries, including Egypt, Thailand, France, and Sri Lanka. He earned his Doctorate in Music from the Peabody Conservatory and also spent a year at Harvard Law School at the same time as President Obama.

Saturday, February 20 at 3 p.m.
All Soul’s Cathedral in Biltmore Village. Concert is $20 for general public and $15 for All Soul’s members. Wonderful acoustics in an historical venue. Tickets available at the door. Discounts for advance purchase at www.amicimusic.org.

Sunday, February 21 at 2 p.m.
The Nightingale Loft at 52 Broadway in downtown Asheville (www.nightingaleloft.com). This is a fabulous new concert and artistic space right next to the Mellow Mushroom with great acoustics and a truly intimate atmosphere. Light food and drinks will be served with a French Cafe theme. Only $35 pp. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
