Brooklyn Musical Duo Charming Disaster Bring Spooky Tunes to Asheville’s Crow & Quill on October 28
Brooklyn-based folk-noir duo Charming Disaster will bring their darkly comic duets to Asheville on October 28. The macabre musical duo’s uniquely haunting songs about love, death, crime, and the supernatural are perfectly fitting for the Halloween season — and for Asheville’s Edgar Allan Poe-inspired cocktail bar, The Crow & Quill.
Charming Disaster will perform at The Crow & Quill on Friday, October 28 at 9pm. Admission is a $5-10 suggested donation.
Charming Disaster achieved cult status when their paranormal love song “Ghost Story” was featured on creepy hit podcast Welcome to Night Vale. Since then their theatrical, entertaining live performances have engaged audiences across the United States. They are touring the East Coast in advance of their second album, “Cautionary Tales,” which will release in early 2017.
Music blog The Ruckus described their debut album, “Love, Crime & Other Trouble” (available on iTunes and beyond), as “the perfect balance of fun and frightening storytelling.”
“Haunting melodies and compelling tales of ghosts, killers and con artists.” – MountainX
“Absolutely haunting…evokes the feelings of not just a song but an old fashioned radio play.” – If It’s Too Loud
“Music to die for…these musicians are killing it.” – The Brooklyn Paper
