What: The Cashiers Plein Air Festival draws in 30 artists from across the state, the country and the world—with artists coming from as far as France—to Jackson County, North Carolina. Artists set up their easels in and around Cashiers to capture the landscape and lifestyle of the area. This type of outdoor location painting is known as plein air, French for open air. These unique paintings are displayed for viewing and sale at The Village Green Commons throughout the week. This biennial event is a sponsor for The Village Green.

Where: The Village Green in Cashiers, and additional locations around town.

When: July 12 to 16, 2016
