Elizabeth Henderson Fine Art

Visionary surrealist painting by Elizabeth Henderson.
Visionary surrealist painting by Elizabeth Henderson.

Elizabeth Henderson has been painting (and sculpting) since early childhood.

She has lived overseas and travelled around the world. She is especially interested in indigenous religious art and architecture of the various countries she has visited and studied.

She studied art for 12 years at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC. Now calling herself a Visionary Surrealist, Henderson paints very unusual one-of-a-kind paintings which reflect spiritual inspiration. She also finds inspiration by studying different modern artists, such as Paul Klee, Kandinsky, Miro, Picasso, Max Ernst, and Charles Burchfield.

Her paintings are self portraits in that they reflect what is going on in her personal life.

Elizabeth is a DC transplant and has been living in Asheville for more than nine years. To see her art, she has a studio in the Riverview Station as well as having her art displayed at Gallery 310 ART. (Also at Riverview Station). You will be amazed at how different her art is from any other art you will see here in Asheville!
