The Asheville Chamber Music Series will present the Doric String Quartet with Pianist Jonathan Biss in concert on Sunday, April 3 at 4 p.m.

The concert will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Asheville.

Described by Gramophone as “one of the finest young string quartets,” the Doric String Quartet has emerged as the leading British string quartet amongst the new generation, receiving glowing responses from audiences and critics across the globe. Highlights of the 2013-14 season included return visits to the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and the Hamburg Laeiszhalle as well as three performances at London’s Wigmore Hall.

Pianist Jonathan Biss has appeared with the foremost orchestras in the United States, including the Los Angeles and New York Philharmonics; the Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco Symphonies, and the Cleveland and Philadelphia Orchestras.
